Introduction to Bri's Own Health

So I’m apparently insane and thought to myself today: “What if I do ANOTHER year-long project? Wouldn’t that be FUN?!?” No, projection of myself ten minutes ago. That would NOT be fun. Bad idea. DO NOT-

I’m starting a new yearlong project, which I’m calling “Losing It”. (Creative, eh?) If you haven’t already guessed, it’s going to be a weight loss project. And I know the only way I’m going to get anything done by way of my body weight is to tell the internet about my progress. Here’s how it’s gonna work:

1. I will take a DailyBooth picture every single day of me from the side.

2. I will make a short iPhone vlog every other day chronicling my exercising. I have to do SOMETHING every single day (even pushups or some crunches count), and the iPhone vlog will just be my proof to you.

3. Every Sunday afternoon, I will post my weight. With the exception of Day 1, of course. Because I’ll be posting my weight today.

4. I will also chronicle, on the blog version of Losing It (where I will also link the DB pic and vlog), what I have eaten on that given day.

A couple concessions to clear up questions:

Sometimes, I will not have an internet connection. Like August 21st-26th ish. And possibly other times because I’ll be in college and doin stuff. So right off the bat, I want to make it clear that this project will not be NEARLY as consistent as the Bri 2.0 project.

That said, if I end up not having an internet connection, I’ll probably still have my phone, or my camera**, so I can continue filming myself doing things and then edit them together when I’m back with my internet.

I am allowed ONE DAY of complete and total rest once every two weeks, unless I am sick, in which case I will maybe have more than one day of complete and total rest while I get better.

During the school year, I’ll no doubt be very busy with college stuff. I will do my best to upkeep this daily exercise blog, but if I miss a day or two, I’ll just catch up. None of this scheduling backwards nonsense.

The only reason I started today, July 17, 2010, a little more than a month before my first year-long project ends, is because otherwise I won’t do it. Also, I already exercised today and I didn’t want it to go to waste.

SO. Does this all make sense? Do you have other questions? LEMME KNOW! Day 1 will be posted later today.

**In unrelated but awesome news, I might be getting a camera with better video capabilities soon.
